Longmont partners come together to host a tag show to raise money for local nonprofits.
The art exhibit, featuring artwork made from labels, will take place from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 11 at the Left Hand Brewing beer garden, 1245 Boston Ave. There will be live music from the bands Cat Jerky and Parchment Doll, and an art auction.
According to a press release from the Left Hand Artist Group, proceeds from the event will benefit Homeless Outreach Providement Encouragement, the Longmont Community Foundation and the Left Hand Artist Group.
Tag art incorporates tags into the design of the piece. The Left Hand Artists Group is looking for artists to contribute label art consisting of beer labels, can labels or other labels for the silent auction. Artists can contribute up to five pieces per person. A minimum donation of 50% to the event is required for all art sold. Artists should not use glass in their pieces.
Artists can drop off their art in advance at the next Left Hand Artist Group meeting at noon Sunday at the beer garden. By using the east door of the venue, they can also drop off works on the day of the show between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Admission to the event is free. Beer and food wristbands are $15 each, but attendees can purchase both for $25. Food will be provided by Summit Tacos and Main Street Eatery.
Volunteers are needed for the event. Those interested in volunteering can register online at signupgenius.com/go/10c0e4ea5a62ba1ffc25-lhag. Volunteers will have the choice of a wristband for food or beer.
